“FAUGNO“… Ancient and fertile land, the term derives from “Favonius” or from the Latin verb FAVERE (favor, let grow). Fertility and abundance of crops have always been the main features of these lands, which is why they were inhabited by the Romans and even earlier by the peasant civilizations of Daunia, as well as the scenario of Transhumance which, along the REGIO TRATTURO, saw their noble art practised. It is precisely here, near the Faugno posting, that for three generations the Niro Family has dedicated itself to the typical crops of the territory and of the Apulian tradition.
In an ever-living and authentic family dedication, traditions and innovation are a combination that today make the company a brand synonymous with absolute quality.
Growing up among the golden fields of wheat, between the heady scent of grapes and the fruity taste of oil, our Family has made a commitment out of its passion, accompanying POSTA FAUGNO from an already traditionally Biological agriculture to a Biomusical agriculture.
Our project „Armonicoltura®“, is therefore an experimental and innovative support to biological practice, so as to make POSTA FAUGNO one of the most known and important reference points for experimental organic agriculture in Italy and in Europe.
Today Posta Faugno boasts a large production of fresh vegetables such as Cimette di rapa, basil, courgettes, asparagus, some types of broccoli, fennel, tomatoes, wine grapes, as well as processing products such as legumes (black and white chickpea, red lentil ), extra virgin olive oil, tomato sauce, pomegranate juice, grains and flours from ancient varieties, all strictly organic.
Since 2017 the company, aware of the quality of its crops and of its highly professional work standards, has decided to dedicate itself to the processing of its products, in order to guarantee the consumer authenticity and excellent quality.
