The brown lentil belongs to herbaceous plants of the legume family. It appears as pods containing two lens-shaped seeds.

Posta Faugno’s brown lentil is cultivated on the farm’s land on a strict organic regime and following the ARMONICOLTURA® project.

Brown lentil is a product rich in protein, fiber, folate and potassium.

Lentils help prevent bowel tumors, reduce diabetes, lower cholesterol levels as well as being a good antioxidant. They also help to lose weight, are useful for proper bowel function and are recommended for pregnant and lactating women.
Soaking is not necessary, the cooking time is 45/60 minutes starting from cold water on a low heat with a ratio of 1/3.

Ideal for preparing soups, salads and dry side dishes. They are also excellent for those who follow a vegan and vegetarian diet.
